Instructions

Do you like art? If so, what kind of art? If we think about it, we all like art in some shape or form. For some, art is a beautiful oil painting on canvas. To another, art is expressed through dance, while to another, it is expressed through one's fingers as one molds and shapes new objects made with clay. Did you know that written text can also be art? I would like all of you to be artists with the freedom to express yourselves in any way that you would like.

Every Monday morning, I will post a topic on my blog, which you are reading these instructions from. Once you have read my topic, you will need to leave a comment on my page. However, this "comment" should be more than one sentence. It should be your response to the question I am posting on my blog. I would really like to encourage you all to try to write as much as you can. Although I would like for you to write as much as you can, please do not spend more than 30 minutes writing them. If you read a comment from your classmates that you find to be interesting, feel free to comment to them as well! Lets try to make this as interactive via the Internet as possible. Your responses and comments will need to be completed by 8:00 p.m. every Friday. There will be no exception! Therefore, plan on completing this assignment before the Friday deadline in order to ensure that you receive full credit, which will be 10 points for each week.

On a final note, these blogs are intended to be fun and to allow you to further practice writing in English in a variety of avenues. Be adventurous and express yourselves! Although we may occasionally use some of your blog entries for grammar practice, these blogs are primarily focused on content. Have fun, and do not forget, all of you are artists!!

Question #3: What Makes You Happy?

What makes you happy?  I am sure you are all very happy people, but what in particular makes you especially happy?  Is it your best friend?  Your mother?  Your pet?  The sunrise and sunset?  Please share what it may be.

As you all know, I recently became a mommy.  Although there are many things that make me happy, I would have to say that my answer for this week's question is my five months old daughter, Ella.  She is such a joy, and she is such a good baby.  When people say, "Umma" to her, which means "Mommy" in Korean, she smiles really big.  When I see and hear that, it makes me so happy!  Every time I look at her, my heart is filled with so much joy.  Just recently, she herself started to say, "Umma" all on her own.  Ah!!  I became so happy to know that her first word was, "Mommy."  I hope you all will be able to meet Ella some day soon. :)

    Of course , many thing make me happy , but there are more make me happy as like my mother , when i see her i feel very happy
    " i'm very miss her "
    also when i feel hungry lol i feel happy .

      How sweet! Are you very close with your mother? That is very sweet. You must miss her a lot. You feel happy when you are hungry? Haha! I am the opposite, for I get cranky if I am too hungry! Aww, that is so nice of you, Abdul. You make me feel happy, too! :)

    As you said we are all happy,but the best think can make me happy is to see my parents again,I can not wait for see them,even if I was in a big big happiness I'm not in a real happiness because without my parents I don't have anything ...

    Things that make me happy very much .Fires, my family I every night I call them . I don't sleep Without I call them. Second, my friends I love them. I'm very lucky with my friends. From things that make me happy helping people . I always feel happy if you're close to the people and especially with My family.

    Many things make me happy. I'm in California is one, is a dream really. Other things are like a call for my family every day via skype and make lot of friends in Cal State. A distant dream is make a family, this makes me really happy.I will like make a big family, lot of children running for all sides at home. I told my girlfriend about it and she dislikes the idea but, we have time. This is my history.
